Pakistani fans singing Dil Dil Pakistan at MCG

Pakistani fans have reached in a large number at the MCG as the second test between hosts Australia and Pakistan starts. The first day was ruined by rain. There were not many overs bowled. Pakistan has made 142 runs for the loss of 4 wickets.

Pakistan fans were seen singing the famous national song Dil Dil Pakistan while sitting the crowd. There was a large audience present in the stands. Surely the Pakistan Australia series has given the stadiums a good number. There was a record crowd present at Brisbane in the first test.

Pakistan won the toss this morning and went on to bat first. The decision from the Pakistani captain Misbah showed that his side was full of confidence. He wanted his batters to just go in and take everything on the chin. This is how you play against top teams in the world. In the interview Misbah said that he feels the momentum and confidence both are with his team. Despite losing the first test still his boys have this fire in themselves. They lost the first test by just a few runs and they did make a few records in that chase.

Pakistan at the moment are 142 for 4. They have done reasonably well. There were overcast conditions and still Misbah went for bat which was a decision that surprised many. Under hazy conditions most of the time the captains’ bowl first after winning the toss. Misbah had other plans in his mind.

He definitely wanted to put Australia under pressure. After winning the toss when he told Smith that he would like to bat first must have baffled the Aussie captain. He would have thought that Pakistan will bowl first and take the advantage of the overcast conditions but that did not happen.

Misbah did made the right call. Pakistan first four batters did get the start but except for Azhar no one capitalize this start. Sami Aslam once again after playing so many calls got out without much score on the board. Babar Azam was looking really strong but then he fell in the slips on the last ball before lunch. Younis was looking shaky. He did get 21 with the bat but they were shaky runs. The ball hit his pads a lot of time. Also he escaped an lbw appeal on which the umpire gave him out but he took review against the decision and it became a successful one. Pakistan will now again bat today and they will be eyeing on something big.
