Misbah press conference ahead of 2nd test match, Australia 2016

Pakistani skipper Misbah Ul Haq is all set and ready to challenge the Australians in the second test match of the series. Pakistan lost the first test but they have won the hearts of the people by a great fight back. Misbah feels that confidence and momentum is with his side.

In the presser today Misbah said that the changes in the team will be announced tomorrow if there are any. He and the coach will look at the pitch first and then decided about the playing eleven. He also said that Mohammad Amir is all set to play the game as well.

Pakistan will take on Australia tomorrow on the Boxing Day. This will be a regular red ball test match and hence Pakistan will get their moments for sure. They did get a few in the first test as well. Pakistan almost chased a massive total put up by Australia.

Misbah said that game has given his players a new confidence. They were down and out in the first innings and then made a remarkable comeback in the second innings. Misbah said that they almost made it through even so that was a big plus for his side. As for Amir who has been reported injured, Misbah said that Amir is all fine and set to take part in the second test. He is the leading bowler of the Pakistan side and hence his presence in the side will matter a lot for the Pakistani players and fans.

Misbah said that Australia is a really good team. They have shown a great character in the first innings. They have bowlers like Starc and Hazelwood who have been in a great form with the ball so they are a competitive side in the world. So the competition will be tight.

There will be a few changes expected in the Pakistan side. At the moment Sohail Khan is set to be playing in place of Rahat Ali. Also there is a chance that Mohammad Nawaz might play in place of Yasir Shah. Now that is still unconfirmed. Misbah too did not speak of any changes in the Pakistan side. Misbah said that first he would look at the pitch and then decided about his playing eleven. Sohail Khan in place of Rahat will be a good move but changing Yasir will not be. Yasir should play in all the three tests. It will get him experience of playing on Australian pitches. He has to bowl in here a lot as per out calculations.
